Welcome to our School

We are a community Lower School, maintained by the county of Bedfordshire. Our school is based on two sites – Marlborough Road (Early Years) and Chestnut Avenue (Years 1 to 4). We admit children from three to nine years old and we very much look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school.

This website will tell you how our school is organised and introduces you to our curriculum and daily routine.

We see parents as partners in the education of their children and greatly value their involvement in school life. Children thrive when they feel happy and secure and we endeavour to set them challenging and stimulating learning experiences that we know you will support.

In September 2005 Ofsted (Office for standards in education) visited the school and reported

“This is a good school, a view shared by the inspectors, parents and the school itself. Pupils from all abilities and background make good progress and achieve well. This is because teaching and learning are good.  The quality of provision in the Foundation Stage is also good. Standards are improving steadily. …. The Leadership and management of the school are good ….The school provides good value for money.”
